Mission & Approach
Life is hard and, at times, it can be scary, lonely, confusing, and stressful. Most of us struggle with emotional upset, pain, loss and grief, shame, and disappointment; many suffer quietly, for the truth is perceived as too painful to utter aloud.
Believing firmly that we humans have a remarkable capacity for self-healing and personal growth, I adopt a person-centered approach to my therapeutic work. Through acceptance, many issues may be better resolved as they are brought into the light of awareness. Utilizing cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), Acceptance, Commitment Therapy (ACT), and dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT) techniques and tools, I seek to meet my clients with unconditional positive regard and to walk with each of them on their path to healing.
Reaching out is not an easy thing to do; you must have already been through a process of internal conflicts and struggles. Whether it be a need to relieve emotional pain, a desire to find fulfillment and value, or a wanting to improve the relationships you care about, I am here to hold a safe, non-judgmental space where you are able to connect authentically to your wants and needs.
